KUPWARA, Jan 23: The working journalists of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district framed a body- Young Journalists Association Kupwara (YJAK) here today.
YJAK, which has 17 working journalist as members, held maiden election to choose various office bearers. Ulfat Hussain Malik was elected as president, Murtaza Mushtaq as vice president, Tahir Ahmad Bhat general secretary, Towseef Hamdani as spokesperson and Javid Ahmad Mir as treasurer.
The elected body nominated Hilal Ahmad, Faisal Ahmad Mir, Raja Ishaq, Abdul Majeed, Sajid Bashir and Nissar Ahmad Mir as executive members while as Wasim Majnoon Mir will function as chairman.
