SRINAGAR, Apr 24: On the directions of the Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education Department, J&K, Atal Dullo, Director Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today inaugurated 1000 LPM each high capacity oxygen generation plant at SDH Kupwara & SDH Sopore.
DHSK said that both the plants have been made fully functional and serve as big relief for the inhabitants of north Kashmir amidst the covid crisis.
Patients indicated for high flow oxygen will be treated at their doorsteps while only critical patients shall be referred to tertiary care. DC Kupwara Imam Din was also present during the inauguration of the oxygen generation plant at SDH Kupwara.
DHSK took detailed stock of SDH Sopore as being the dedicated covid hospital and he ensured that covid preparedness is as per the established guidelines and protocol.
He also augmented the bedside high flow oxygen machinery from 2 to 10 at SDH Kupwara which will ensure quality health care services to the covid patients.
Dr Rather also visited DH Handwara and took stock of health care services being provided to the patients there. He took stock of covid & non-covid health care services.
He also inspected the designated covid ward established in the hospital and gave on spot directions about its foolproof functioning. DHSK concluded his day-long visit by inspecting all the sections of Trauma Hospital Pattan and the preparedness thereof.
