JAMMU, Mar 1: A three-day workshop on School Internship and Microteaching has been organized by KU’s Regional Centre for Distance Learning (RCDL) Jammu for its pupil teachers of B.Ed. program, of 2022 batch.
Addressing the inaugural session, Dr Habibullah Shah said that under the dynamic leadership of Prof Neelofar Khan, Vice Chancellor and Director Prof Tariq Ahmad Chishti, the Distance Education is experiencing an innovative path and recognition in the University of Kashmir. He said that such workshops provide an enriching platform for ‘new learning’, especially in the backdrop of the paradigm shift where the country’s teacher education is witnessing the implementation of National Education Policy-2020.
With the NEP-2020, we have entered into a new content delivery system where teachers need to be highly professional and innovative, Dr Shaha, the chief guest at the programme said.
Dr Mirza Muneeb Manan, organizing secretary of the event delivered the welcome address and highlighted the objectives of the workshop. He said the focus of this workshop is to merge the Science of learning with the art of teaching. Dr Muneeb said that under the guidance of Prof Chishti, the ODL system is scaling new heights with progressive academic activities.
Coordinator of the workshop, Meenakshi Raina acknowledged the contribution of Vice Chancellor in providing direction and positive responses for conducting such programs for the Distance Learners and also presented a vote of thanks.
