JAMMU, Dec 15: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Bantalab and KV Sunjuwan organized Foundation Day with pomp and show here today.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Foundation Day was celebrated great enthusiasm and fervour at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bantalab.
The chief guest of the function was Bachcha Bharati, Prof Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Kotbhalwal ,Jammu and the guest of honour was V Santhosh Kumar, Principal KV Bantalab, Jammu.
The programme started with the lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Students of Primary Wing presented various cultural items and conveyed the importance of the day through a skit and other programmes.
V Santhosh Kumar, Principal KV Bantalab reminded the gathering about the valuable services that the Vidyalaya has been rendering to generations of learners for the past 50 years.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and recital of National Anthem.
KV Sunjuwan organized Alumni Meet 2015 on the eve of KVS Foundation Day in the Vidyalaya Campus.
The occasion was marked by lighting of the lamp by the Principal Manish Tuli, SK Gupta, Kusum Sharma and some Alumni.
Welcome address was presented by Dr VP Sharma, In-charge Programme which was followed by cultural bonanza by the students under the guidance of Anil Raina, PRT (Music),Arti Lange, Dance Teacher and Subhash Anand, TGT (AE).
A Yoga display show was another attraction of the event under the guidance of Meenakshi, Yoga Teacher.
Pushpa Choudhary, PGT (ECO) conducted the of the programme along with Annaya, School Captain (Girl), Ashmita and Imitiaz.
The vote of thanks was presented by Chitrakshi.
