UDHAMPUR, Oct 17: Three days long District Level Exhibition-cum-Sale of Khadi and Village Industries products organized by J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Udhampur to provide marketing linkage to entrepreneurs of KVIB and Khadi Institutions concluded at New Community Hall here today.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal presided over the valedictory function.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamwal appealed to the unemployed youth to take inspiration from these successful entrepreneurs and setup their own income generating units. He also called upon them to come forward to avail the benefits of income generating schemes of Government for the upliftment of their socio economic status.
While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB, Jammu Division, Santosh Saraf thanked the beneficiaries and representatives of the departments who participated in the exhibition and displayed their products for sale.
During the exhibition a sale of over Rs. 16000/- was registered and orders of worth Rs 35000 were booked.
Later, certificates among the participants were distributed by the chief guest.
Among others, SDM Dudu, Sandesh Kumar, CDPO Basangarh, Yash Paul Sharma, District Officer KVIB Udhampur, Vakil Dass, field functionaries of KVIB and representatives of other departments were present on the occasion.
