KVK organises training prog

SRINAGAR, Dec 21: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pulwama organised a 15 days training programme on bee-keeping for un-employed educated youth of the district.
In a press release, Dr. Tabasum Ara, programme coordinator, said that 50 unemployed youth participated in the training programme. The youth were imparted training about the technical know-how and scientific management of bee-keeping by the scientists and experts of SKUAST-K.
The programme coordinator said that the purpose of the training was to motivate the youth so that they establish self-income generating units by taking up bee-keeping. She said this would also help to increase the population of honey bees in the Pulwama district which can fulfill the pollination requirements.
