JAMMU, Feb 7: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Jammu Region) organized KVS Regional Incentive Award Ceremony in the Auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalya No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Dr D. Manjunath, Deputy Commissioner, KVS (RO), Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while PB Bhagyalakshmi Manjunath was the guest of honour. Among the other dignitaries TR Choudhary and DP Patel, Assistant Commissioners, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Regional Office), Jammu were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the programme began with the lighting of a lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries amidst the recitation of Sanskrit Shalokas.
The guests were enthralled by the various cultural performances presented by the students of different Vidyalayas of Jammu Region.
The Keynote of the programme was presented by DP Patel, Assistant Commissioner KVS (RO) Jammu.
In all, 11 meritorious teaching staff employees, 2 non-teaching staff members of the region were honoured with Regional Incentive Awards in the ceremony held at Jammu Region.
They included Sanjay Kumar PGT (Hindi) No. 1 Udhampur, Archana Sharma PGT (PH & E) No-2 Jammu, Sangita Tripathi PGT (English) KV Kathua, Vijay Kumar Kashyap TGT (Maths) KV- Bantalab, Sunil Pandita TGT (WET) KV No.2 Jammu, Pooja Bhalla PRT KV No-2 Jammu, AmitSanyal PGT (Eco.) KV Bantalab, Tarsahm Kumar PGT (CS) KV No-2 Jammu, Kirti Choudhary PGT (CS) KV Bantalab, Mridula Rambal PGT (Chemistry) KV No- 2 Jammu, Atul Sharma, (PRT) KV Bantalab as the teaching staff employees whereas Kapil Sharma (SSA) KV Jindrah, Ranjit Singh, (SSA) KV No. 2 Akhnoor as the non-teaching staff members of the region, while Sanjay Kohli, TGT (Hindi) No-1 Udhampur was the Scouting and Guiding Divisional Awardee. Each incentive awardee was honoured by the chief guest with a cash award of Rs 10,000, a shawl, a memento and a certificate.
While speaking on this occasion, the chief guest highlighted the role of a teacher in success of students.
The vote of thanks was presented by TR Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner, KVS (Regional Office) Jammu.
