JAMMU, Feb 25: The Legislative Assembly today gave its nod for the extension of time to present various House Committee Reports in the House in the next session.
The reports for which the extension was granted included, Select Committee Report on J&K Prohibition of Conversion of Agriculture Land for non-Agriculture Purposes Bill, 2011, the report of the Select Committee on the Jammu and Kashmir Private Security Agencies ( Regulation) Bill 2013 and the report of the House Committee regarding ascertaining the factual position of illegal encroachment of wet lands for its conversion for residential purposes in Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora districts, conversion of agriculture and Kahccharai land for residential and commercial purpose with particular reference to Shalteng and its adjoining areas.
In this regard, the separate motions were moved by Minister of State for Revenue& Relief, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah and Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen being Chairmen of Committees.
However, some members of the House expressed concern over extension in the time.
