JAMMU, Nov 4: All J&K Labana Singh Sabha has expressed resentment over the non-inclusion of any OBC Labana Sikh member in the BJP’s list of 45 candidates.
In a meeting of the Sabha held here today under the chairmanship of Lakhbir Singh Sohal, the speakers said it is heartening that no national or regional party has given mandate to any Labana members in the State despite the fact that Labana community has an approximate population of about 5 lakh in the State.
The speakers said that no representation has been given to the Labana community by the BJP even in its State unit. The community was having hopes only on BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi but now it is feeling disappointed, they added.
It was resolved in the meeting that in coming Assembly elections Labana Sikh and non-Sikh members may either use NOTA option or put their own candidates on all seats of Jammu Province as independent candidates.
