JAMMU, Dec 26: A migrant labourer hailing from Chattisgarh died after falling from construction site in Preet Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Digiana police post.
As per reports, a migrant labourer identified as Mangal Sahu, son of Lakhu Ram of Chattisgarh, presently residing in Preet Nagar was working at construction site at Preet Nagar when he fell down.
He was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The body has been kept in the mortuary of GMC Hospital for postmortem, which will be conducted tomorrow. After completing legal formalities, the body will be handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Digiana police post and investigation started.
