JAMMU, Aug 9: A labourer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Som Raj (45) son of Bhagat Ram, resident of Surinsar,” a police official said, adding, the deceased was a labourer by profession and was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a tin-shed inside a plot at Tawi Vihar Colony, where he was presently residing.
He said the deceased was a habitual drunkard and two bottles of liquor (one empty and one half filled) were found near his body. No injury mark was found on his dead body, he added.
The official said that the body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Nagrota.
