UDHAMPUR, Sept 4: Under mysterious circumstances, a labourer was found dead on the roof top of Shah Complex in Udhampur, here this morning.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Gopal Singh (37), son of Des Raj of village Barmeen in Udhampur District. He was a labourer and some locals spotted him lying dead on roof top of Shah complex.
On being informed, SHO Udhampur, Inspector Raghuvir Singh along with his police team reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital.
Electrocution could be apparent cause of death while police have initiated inquest proceedings and the dead body was later handed over to the family members for last rites.
