JAMMU, June 26: A labourer from Chattisgarh was found hanging today from a tree here in Shakti Nagar area.
According to a police official, the dead body of the labourer identified as Roshan Kumar Sahu (32) son of Ram Kumar, resident of Chattisgarh (at present Shakti Nagar, Jammu), was found hanging in the wee hours of today from a tree near petrol pump at Shakti Nagar.
He said after postmortem at GMC Jammu the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC were initiated in this connection by police post Talab Tillo. “In preliminary investigation, it has come to fore that the man allegedly committed suicide after a quarrel with his family members,” the official added.
