REASI, Nov 24: Tragedy struck the construction site of the Anji cable-stayed railway bridge in Harotekote, Reasi, when a sudden landslide claimed the life of a labourer and inflicted serious injuries to another.

The mishap took place this afternoon when men were at work near foundation of the bridge. Sudden landslide hit two local workers, who sustained critical injuries and were rushed to hospital. However, one of them succumbed to his injuries soon after admission in the hospital.
The deceased was identified as Agrez Singh (48), son of Krishan Singh, a resident of Grah Morh, Reasi. The injured labourer, Riaz Ahmed (45), son of Bashir Ahmed from Neoch, Mahore, is undergoing treatment at District Hospital Reasi and his condition is reported to be stable.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter.
