JAMMU, Apr 24: A labourer was killed due to electric shock near Gumpul area here today, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Sharafat Ali, son of Shoket Ali, a resident of Changa Bala area of Gandoh in District Doda. He was working with a company engaged in construction of Jammu-Akhnoor Highway.
The dead body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for post-mortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Kanachack Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
