Srinagar, Jan 18: Police today said a labourer working in stone quarry was killed when a stone hit him at Khrew in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said Abdul Hamid Bhat got critically injured while working in stone quarry at Bathen in Khrew. “He was shifted to Public Health Center Khrew but succumbed to his injuries enroute. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs f last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
