LEH, Oct 14: The LAHDC, Leh in a meeting held today at Council Secretariat under the chairmanship of CEC, Gyal P Wangyal has decided to celebrate this year “Ladakh dPal-rNgam Duston” under the theme ‘UT Ladakh’ on 1st November coincide with historic official commencement of Union Territory for Ladakh region.
An organizing committee was constituted under the chairmanship of CEC Gyal P Wangyal and also decided to inaugurate the sculpture of Great King Singhe Namgyal on the occasion.
To make the event historic and meaningful, CEC sought full cooperation from all the stakeholders and individuals and assured all possible support from Council.
To conceive the programmes and to ensure prompt arrangements in all respect of the event, another meeting with all concerned officers of district administration and stake holders shall be held on October 16.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman Tsering Sandup, Executive Councillor for Education Konchok Stanzin, MLC Leh Chering Dorjey, ADC, Leh Dr Zahida Bano, Padmashri Morup Namgyal, Dr Sonam Wangchuk, Councillor Upper Leh Gelong Lobzang Nantyak, Special Officer for Culture Tsewang Paljor and AD Information Leh Tsering Wangdus.
