Leh, Mar 11: Secretary, Labour and Employment, Ravinder Kumar today held a meeting with the Deputy Director of both Leh and Kargil districts to discuss recruitment for posts in different departments. Secretary Labour and Employment approved the recruitment for 250 posts on a priority basis in the upcoming months.
The posts advertised for the recruitment have been pending as Ladakh became a Union Territory. The District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Leh and Kargil had advertised for non-gazetted and Class IV posts. The exams for the 210 non-gazetted posts have not been conducted.
LAHD-SSRB would reserve the posts for SRO-43. Meanwhile, the written examinations for 16 posts of Forest/Wildlife guard in the Forest/Wildlife and other departments, would be conducted in the first week of April.
The examination and other procedures for 250 posts are pending. The Employment Department has issued directions for the completion of the recruitment within two months. The recruitment for 290 Class IV posts that had to be put on hold due to the stay order issued by the Court, would soon be resolved.
