Ladakh MP calls on Advisor Sharma, highlights important issues

LEH, July 14: Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal (JTN) called on the Advisor to Governor, K K Sharma this afternoon at Leh and took up various important issues concerning Ladakh besides seeking his intervention for early redressal.
The demands and the issues included restoration of Pawan Hans Helicopter services in Ladakh keeping in view of vast and cut off geographical condition of the region, early release of pending salaries of PDD staff of Leh district, recruitment of staff for newly created degree colleges at Khaltsi and Drass to make these important educational institutions functional, transfer of IRP Ladakhi Police at Leh, release of salary in favour of PHE contractual employees, granting of long pending 10 percent Special Duty Allowances in favour of State Govt employees working in Ladakh, State Govt’s intervention in speedy progress of various hydro projects in Ladakh etc.
Giving justifications on each issue, JTN urged upon the Governor’s administration to address all these genuine issues.
Having detail discussions on all the issues, Sharma gave assurance to look in to all legitimate matters at Government level.
