Ladakh MP lists areas lost due to Nehru’s ‘mistakes’

Jammu, Dec 12: BJP MP from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today mentioned “mistakes” made during frist Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru’s time, calling them “Nehruvian Blunders” and highlighted the lost territories of Bharat like PoK, Shaksgam Valley, Aksai Chin, Minsar village near Mount Kailas, and the holy Mansarovar lake.
He also emphasized the importance of the Tingmosgang Treaty of 1684. This treaty recognized Minsar village as part of Ladakh, which is now a part of India according to the 1961 Indian Census.
Namgyal speaking for the people of Kargil and Ladakh’s Muslim community, thanked the Narendra Modi Government supporting the Tazia of Mohram, honouring the Karbala’s Supreme Sacrifice made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) in Srinagar, and establishing the Ladakh Hajj Committee, benefiting all Hajj pilgrims from Ladakh.
The MP also put forth the demand from the people of Kargil to open Panikhar- Pahalgam Road. He also urged for amendment in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act to grant law making power in matters like land, jobs, culture, and language etc.
“Together, let’s work for a better and more inclusive future for Ladakh,” Namgyal said.
