Ladakh MP raises LPG issue in Parl

LEH, Mar 2: Oil Marketing Companies are under instruction to make Home Delivery of LPG cylinders in their authorized areas in Ladakh.
This was stated by the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmandra Pradhan while answering to a question raised by the MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal during Question Hour in Lok Sabha today.
The Minister further added that OMCs takes Insurance Policy under Public Liability Policy for Oil Industries and covers losses arising out of accidents where LPG is the primary cause of fire.
The Minister further said that it covers personal accident cover of Rs. 6 lakh per person in case of death, medical expenses of Rs. 30 lakh per event with maximum of Rs. 2 Lakh per person and in case of property damage, it covers maximum of Rs 2 lakh per event at authorized customer’s registered premises.
