The closing ceremony, held at the District Police Line Choglamsar, Leh, was presided over by the Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh, Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal.
Addressing the media, Dr. Jamwal highlighted that Ladakh Police had compressed the standard six-month course into an intensive 45-day program. The training covered essential law-related outdoor activities, including crowd control and firearms training.
“The trainees performed beyond our expectations,” he said, lauding their efforts. He assured that Ladakh Police would ensure due promotions for the participants, contributing to their career growth.
Dr. Jamwal further stated that Ladakh Police is now equipped to provide training to other departments, including Fire Services and the Forest Department.
“Earlier, we relied on other states and Union Territories for such training, but today, Ladakh Police is self-sufficient in conducting these courses locally,” he added. A demonstration was also held, showcasing Ladakh Police’s preparedness in handling various challenges, including terrorist attacks and crowd control.
