LEH, July 24: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), UT Ladakh, Satish Khandare launched Ladakh Traffic Police Compound and Court Challan Books in a function held at Police Headquarters Agling here.
DIG Ladakh Bimsen Tuti and other police officer including AIG Personnel PHQ Stanzin Nurboo, AIG Provisions PHQ Sonam Dechan, Staff officer to IGP Ladakh, SP security and other officers of the Police Headquarters were present during the occasion.
IGP Ladakh, congratulated the Ladakh police in general and Traffic Police in particular for having New Challan Books of Ladakh Police nomenclature switching over from J&K Police Challan Books.
SP Traffic Ladakh Mohd Rafi Giri gave a detailed briefing and expressed sincere gratitude to IGP Ladakh for making the Ladakh Traffic Police an independent Wing.
Later, IGP, Satish Khandare briefed the media persons about the Traffic system in Ladakh and informed about the launch of new traffic Police Compound and Court Challan books of Ladakh Police. He directed the Traffic Police Ladakh to ensure people friendly Traffic Policing in mangement and regulation of smooth traffic system in the twin cities, keeping in mind the Ladakh being a famous tourist destination and large number of tourists are visiting the place every year and to instill sense of confidence among the commuters for discipline driving and parking of vehicles to avoid wrong parkings in the twin city of UT Ladakh.
