KARGIL, Mar 15: Ladakh Police recruitment drive under the strict supervision of Additional Director General Police (ADGP), Satish Khandare commenced today at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium, Bemathang, here.
About 7500 candidates are participating for 266 posts of Constable Executive, Armed/IRP HG/CD/SDRF (UT Cadre) of Ladakh Police, wherein a total of 400 candidates participated in the first day of the drive, which will culminate on March 24.
ADGP Ladakh, Satish Khandare said that Ladakh Police is conducting the recruitment drive for the first time since Ladakh Police was established. He said candidates have given a positive response to the advertisement adding that for the first time the recruitment will be held with the assistance of digital technology for race and height measurements.
The ADGP said that all the measures have been put in place for fair recruitment and in this regard, a recruitment committee has also been framed.
“Around 12000 applications were received across Ladakh in which 7,500 applications were received from Kargil district from both male and female candidates,” ADGP informed and said that the recruitment process will be free and fair and a surveillance team, headed by Additional Superintendent of Police Kargil Iftikhar Choudhary has been set up for this purpose.
Pertinently, the recruitment process is being conducted by Ladakh Police Subordinate Recruitment Board.
