SAMBA, Sept 24: Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh, police has arrested female accused for abetment to suicide in the death case of “Bodh Raj” of Rakh Amb Talli Samba, in which four accused stand already arrested and lodged in jail on judicial custody.
Earlier, inquest proceedings initiated under Section 174 CrPC into the mysterious death of 52 years old Bodh Raj of Rakh Amb Talli, Samba to ascertain the actual cause of death had been converted into FIR No. 197/2023under Sections 306/109 IPC Police Station Samba and four accused were arrested.
Police said on July 20 an information was received through reliable sources at Police Post (PP), Rakh Amb Talli to the effect that one person namely Bodh Raj, son of Lalo Ram, who was under treatment at GMC as poison case, expired at GMC Jammu. Upon that information, police had initiated inquest proceedings U/S 174 CrPC to ascertain the actual cause of death and inquest was underway.
In the meanwhile, police received directions U/S 156 (3) CrPC from Court of CJM Samba to register FIR and in compliance with the court directions, FIR No. 197/2023 U/S 306/109 IPC was registered at Police Station, Samba and four accused were arrested.
Investigation of case is being conducted by SHO Police Station (PS) Samba, Daljit Singh under the supervision of Deputy SP, Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, mysterious death cases are being properly investigated by Samba Police on merits and accused against whom the cases are made out are being arrested under law.
