JAMMU, July 5: Police arrested a lady for selling illicit liquor in Dablehar area, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, after developing specific information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Operations Jammu Vinay Sharma conducted raid in Dablehar area and apprehended a lady, who was selling illicit liquor near his house.
Police arrested the lady, who has been identified as Sunita, wife of Keemati alias Sonu, a resident of Dablehar. About 20 litres of illicit liquor filled in tyre tube has been recovered from the spot and destroyed later.
In this regard, a case under FIR Number 144/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the lady at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
