JAMMU, May 4: Bishnah police arrested a lady along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station conducted raid and apprehended a lady, who was selling the illicit liquor among its customers in fields at village Kothey Chorli.
Police team also recovered 5 litres of illicit liquor from the spot and destroyed 170 litres of lahan.
The arrested lady has been identified as Kamli Devi, wife of Kimti Lal, a resident of village Kothey Chorli Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 75/2020 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by ASI Darshan Lal, Lady SgCt Gurmeet Kour, SgCt Jai Paul and SPO Vaneet Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid.
