JAMMU, May 5: A Selection Grade Constable of J&K Police died due to electric shock in Tali Morh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the lady Constable identified as Manjeet Kour (41) wife of Shivnaib Singh, a resident of Preet Nagar, Diagana, was killed on the spot at her paternal home when while wiping the floor she received severe electric shock, this morning.
He said the lady Constable was posted at Women Welfare Centre Jammu and had come to her paternal home few days back to live with her parents. “After completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites”, the spokesman added.
