RAMBAN, Apr 16: A lady died due to alleged negligence by doctors at District Hospital here late tonight.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Shehnaz, wife of Riyaz Ahmed of Chabba was admitted in District Hospital Ramban today at around 4 pm after she complained of some dehydration problem.
The lady was undergoing treatment and at around 10:30 pm she breathed her last.
After hearing the news of death of the lady, family members held protest and alleged that the lady died due to doctors’ negligence. They demanded action against the doctors.
On getting information, police team from Ramban police station led by SHO Inspector Ajay Chib under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital and postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.
Police has also taken cognizance in this regard.
