SAMBA, Oct 1: One lady died while a motorcyclist was injured in two separate accidents in Samba district today.
As per reports, a 70 year lady was killed after she was hit by a Swift Dzire car bearing Registration Number, HR26BT-6951 at Barian today.
She has been identified as Kamla Devi, wife of Amarnath, resident of village Darui Samba. The Samba Police has arrested the driver namely Ravinder Singh, son of Gurmukh Singh of Rehari Jammu and also seized the vehicle. The dead body has been shifted to District Hospital Samba for postmortem.
In another incident a motorcyclist namely Shiva Anand, 35, son of Baba Napa of Maharashtra at present at BSF Camp, Miran Sahib, Jammu was injured after his two wheeler was hit by an unknown vehicle at SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana this morning. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case in this regard and the injured person was shifted to GMC Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
