JAMMU, May 8: A lady was drowned in river Tawi near Hari-ki-Pouri, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, Sarla Gorkhu,wife of Brij Krishan Gorkhu, a resident of Anand Nagar, Bohri as usual visited Hari-ki-Pouri temple.
After paying obeisance in the temple, she went along the river Tawi side, where she accidentally slipped and drowned.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to retrieve the body.
The body was retrieved and handed over to family members for last rites.
