JAMMU, Nov 6: Janipur Police arrested a lady drug peddler along with 10 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Janipur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Gurmeet Singh conducted raid in Shant Nagar area and apprehended a lady along with 10 grams of heroin.
The arrested lady has been identified as Radha Devi, a resident of Shant Nagar, Janipur, District Jammu. The scooty on which she was riding has been seized.
Earlier, her husband was also arrested for selling heroin from his residence and after registration of the case against him, he fled away to Punjab to evade arrest.
With the arrest of the lady drug peddler, police saved the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 84/2020 under section 8/21/22NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
