DODA, Sept 13: Police arrested a lady drug peddler and with her associate.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Doda led by Inspector Sunil Sharma and assisted by SI Firdous Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Jammu Iftikhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Shabir Ahmed Malik conducted raid in the house of a lady drug peddler in presence of Executive Magistrate and recovered 1.125 kilograms of cannabis.
The lady drug peddler identified as Shakeela Begum alias Taya, wife of Farooq Ahmed Shah, a resident of Sadeeq Abad, District Doda has been arrested.
A case under FIR Number 159/18 under Section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Doda and on the disclosure of the Shakeela Begum, her partner identified as Sheraz Ahmed, son of Niyaz Ahmed, a resident of Dessa Road District Doda was also arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
