JAMMU, Aug 22: A lady and her children, illegally confined by a person in Pathankot area of Punjab, were rescued today by Bakshi Nagar police.
“An application under Section 97 CrPC for search of the lady namely Rakha Balgotra wife of Sunny Balgota, resident of New Plot (Jammu) and her children who were illegally detained and confined/forcefully by one person namely Sammy of Samba (J&K) at Company Bagh Takki Mohalla, Pathankot (Punjab) was received few days back,’ a police official said.
He said a special police team of police station Bakshi Nagar under the supervision of SDPO North Rahul Nagar was constituted. The police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar did hectic efforts and with the help of assistance of the police of the native area finally arrested the accused from Punjab and recovered the lady and her two children from illegal confinement.
“The lady and her children are kept at one stop centre and will be produced on 23-08-2021 in the Court of Law,” he added.
