Srinagar, Sept 5: Police today said a lady was killed while four others were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said that a Mazda vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-6410 hit and injured a pedestrian lady namely Shaheena at Maulana Azad Road near Partap Park in city centre. “She was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The police spokesman said that an Alto car bearing registration number JK01AC-3493 collided with a Scooty bearing registration number JK01Q-1539 near Silk Factory Rajbagh here, resulting in injuries to Waseem Ahmad Dar and Abid Ashraf. “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said that a Scooty bearing registration number JK01L-5349 driven by Shabir Ahmad Shergujri hit and injured a pedestrian namely Burhan Ahmad Loneat Wan-develgam in Kokernag area of Anantnag district. The injured was shifted to Kokernag hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said that a Bus bearing registration number JK01C-1265 driven by Nizam-Din hit and injured a minor boy namely Shakeel Ahmad Dar, 10, at National Highway near Power House Kangan in Ganderbal district. “The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
