Lakhanpur police rescues 16 bovines

KATHUA, July 1: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today rescued 16 bovines.
Police said a team led by Inspector, Sumeet Sharma SHO Police Station, Lakhanpur under the supervision Dy.SP DAR Kathua, Sukhdev Singh noticed one truck bearing Registration Number HR58A/4027was stopped for checking.
During checking 16 bovines i.e eight cows and eight oxen were found loaded in it which were rescued by the police. The truck was seized however the driver fled away after parking the truck few distance away from naka point. A case FIR No. 83/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11PCA Act has been registered at Police Station, Lakhanpur. Further investigation is going on.
