Lal Singh conducts extensive tour of border villages

KATHUA, May 17: To redress  the grievance of the people of the border area, Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda Constituency, Ch Lal Singh conducted an extensive tour of the border villages of Hiranagar and Kathua tehsils.
MP visited Mawa Madoon, Rajpura, Sherpur, Chakra, Khooblasa, Sanji Morh, Haria Chack, Salalpur, Kot Punnu and Nagri Parole where the  people  apprised him of their demands pertaining to adequate supply of drinking water, electricity, ration supply, widow pension and old age pension etc.
He listened  the grievances of the people patiently and ensured their redressal on the priority basis. He also took stock of the ongoing works of widening of old Samba- Kathua road.
Chief Engineer Border Road Organization, Commandant and XEn accompanied Member Parliament during the visit.
MP directed the Commanding Officer to ensure early completion of the widening works of old- Samba Kathua road. Directions were further given  to the officers for the speedy construction of the culverts and the repair of deep ditches on the road.
Officers of Border Road Organization assured MP that the work on Parole-Marheen road will commence soon.
ADDC Kathua, Ajay Singh Jamwal also accompanied the MP during the tour.
