Lal Singh convenes public darbar

KATHUA, June 12 : To mitigate grievances and problems of people, Member Parliament, Ch. Lal Singh convened a public darbar here today.
Several deputations from Kathua and adjoining area met him and apprised him of their problems.
A deputation from Damaar Panchayat demanded adequate drinking water supply, speedy implementation of water supply schemes, better irrigation facilities.
The MP issued directions to Irrigation Department to solve the problems of farmers at the earliest.
Another deputation led by Sarpanch Tridwan demanded early construction of road from Tridwan to Choee under PMGSY. Besides, a deputation from village Barni (Basantpur) demanded proper power supply besides a high capacity transformer for their village. The people of village Rassoo in Hatli panchayat demanded installation of filtration plant. Besides, a deputation from villages Nannan and Manjli demanded adequate drinking water supply.
Lal Singh directed the concerned officers to redress the problems and demands of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, he asked the officers to work honestly for benefit of the public. He added that UPA Government was committed for progress and development of the nation. He said that Centre and State Govts. have launched several schemes for the welfare of the people. He appealed the people to come forward and get the benefit of various centre and state govt. sponsored schemes.
