Lal Singh, Ganga owe explanation to Kathua people: Harsh Dev

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Mar 10:  Accusing the BJP Ministers of running with the hare and hunting with the hound, NPP chairman  and former minister  Harsh Dev Singh  today asked BJP Ministers Lal Singh and  Chander Parkash Ganga to explain their silence to the dictates of their ally refusing CBI probe into Kathua rape and murder case.
He said that while in public rally in Kootah, Hiranagar on 1st March, 2018 they had thrown a challenge to PDP saying that the latter could not survive without BJP support and that the Govt would ‘go’ in case CBI probe was not ordered into Asifa case so as to satisfy the aspirations of the public at large. He said that in a bid to gain public support the two Ministers had not only defied the prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPc during the rally but had publically announced in their fiery speeches to resign from their ministerial positions in the event of denial of CBI probe and to join the people’s movement for justice.
Even after the rally, the said Ministers had indulged in incessant raucous chest thumping assuring and re-assuring CBI probe but had disappeared immediately after the CM’s refusal to entertain the said demand, he lamented. With all aggression and fire exhibited during the course of Kootah rally having vanished in thin air and melted in the course of the Cabinet meeting convened for the purpose, the BJP Ministers acquiesced to the dictates of Mehbooba Mufti to continue with enquiry by crime branch thus proving their duplicitous character yet again, deplored Harsh.
Lambasting the BJP Ministers of demonstrating political cowardice despite having proclaimed themselves as champions of Jammu, Singh said that the two Ministers must atleast come out of their hiding and explain the reasons for their U-turn to the people who had given them overwhelming mandate. He said that people of Hiranagar and Kathua were anxiously awaiting to hear from the two Ministers who needed to visit the area so as to convince them about the adroitness of their decision so that the people could plan the future course of action accordingly.
