Lal Singh inaugurates two ambulances at GB Pant Hospital

SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Choudhary Lal Singh today inaugurated two new ambulances at GB Pant hospital.
The two mini ambulances were donated by employees of Bajaj Electricals Limited through United Way Disaster Response Fund.
Choudhary Lal Singh handed over the keys to two drivers of the ambulances. Later, the Minister inspected different wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients and medical staff.
The Minister inspected the Ultra sound section, X-ray section and the recently inaugurated CT-Scan section.
He said that G. B Pant hospital being the only health institution of paediatrics in the valley deserves special attention, adding that more such machinery and modern gadgets would be set up in the hospital during current fiscal.
The Minister said Government is putting all out efforts to further improve system by providing infrastructure and human resource to rural and urban areas. He laid stress on the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospitals and said that the Government will equip the hospital with latest machinery to bring it to the best standards on national level.
The Minister was accompanied by Medical Superintendent Shafqat Khan, Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Sameer Matoo and Managing Director JK Medical Supplies Corporation Dr Yaspal Sharma.
