UDHAMPUR, Apr 19: A one-day convention of employees under the banner of All Employees United Front, district Udhampur was organized under the chairmanship of senior vice president of J&K ReT Teachers Forum, Bhupinder Singh.
Minister for Health, Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Choudhary Lal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
During the convention, Employees Union put forth various demands including early release of pending wages and salary, transfer policy for ReT teachers, regular conduct of DPCs in various department, implementation of order of C- class classification of Udhampur town, risk allowance for PDD employees, regularization of all need based daily wagers, benefit of SRO 43 for non regularized ReT teachers and daily wagers etc.
Responding to the demands, the Minister said Government has already initiated steps to address the grievances of all sections of the employees including low paid employees. He assured the employees that their genuine demands have been noted and these will be taken up at the appropriate level.
Meanwhile, the Minister also visited District Hospital Udhampur and took stock of the medicare facilities available in the hospital. Appreciating the hospital management for keeping the hospital neat and clean, the Minister urged them to provide better medicare facilities and services to the patients. On the occasion, Ch Lal Singh reiterated his firm commitment to further streamline all the health institutions in the State.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Suleman Choudhary, Director Family Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, senior officers of various department, presidents of various trade unions and large number of employees were present on the occasion.
