JAMMU, July 19: Lalded Women Welfare Society today staged a nukkad play namely “Mitti Ka Madhow” at Gangyal. The play shows how idleness becomes a curse in the later stage of life.
The story is conceived and written by Rampaul and directed by Naveen Pal.
The play revolves around Rommi, a naughty boy who does not study in the class properly. He prefers to see films and use to speak dialogues of filmy heroes. His classmates don’t like his activity but he wants to lead a life like star. This all made him fail in the matric exam which upset his parents very much.
His parents understood his learning capacity and decided to send him in scooter workshop to train him but he turned down this request owing to less interest. After that they arrange some loan and open a glossary business but that was not also his choice.
He always sits in front of his parents and fight with them because of idleness. By that time he reaches in the age of 35 years, his parents thought to marry him so that he may share family responsibility by doing some work. He becomes more aggressive even after marriage and starts beating his wife.
So every effort went useless and he becomes a habitual idle man. However family faced starvation due to his carelessness and wastage of time.
The message out of play is that we need to look all activities of our child and give preference to groom from the initial stage accordingly, otherwise condition will be like ” Rommi” as ‘Mitti ka Madhow’.
Those who performed in the play were Rampaul, Naveen Pal, Santosh Basotra, Anju Sanotra, etc.
