Lalit re-elected BBIA president

JAMMU, May 20:  Noted industrialist,  Lalit Mahajan has been re-elected as president  of  Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) for the term 2017-2019.
After conducting the general body meeting of the Association at BBIA Bhawan today, the election process commenced at 11 AM. The popping process was completed by 3 pm. The three Election Commissioners appointed by the Election Committee,  namely- Taranjit Singh Sahni, Atul Modi and Ram Langar supervised the poll process   and declared the results  this evening. Total 236 votes were polled out of total 241.
Lalit Mahajan, the sitting BBIA president was re-elected as the president of the Association for the next term. He secured 168 votes  and defeated Annil Suri , who secured only 67 votes. Suresh Mahajan  was elected as senior vice president unopposed.
Varun Singla was elected   as  vice president. He secured 172 votes and defeated Pankaj Sharma,  who bagged 62 votes (two invalid).  Ajay Langar was declared elected as general secretary. He bagged 148 votes and defeated Rakesh Bhat, who secured 87 votes (3 invalid).
Vivek Singhal was elected as secretary who secured 163 votes by defeating Kunal Mahajan (70 votes), while Viraaj Malhotra was elected as treasurer. He bagged 189 votes and defeated  Parvinder Singh Jaggi  who got only 44 votes.
