BBIA elections for term 2024-26

JAMMU, June 22: Lalit Mahajan has been declared re-elected unopposed for the post of president while Viraaj Malhotra as general secretary (unopposed) in the elections of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA).
A BBIA spokesman said as per the election notification of Bari Brahmana Industries Association dated 08-06-2024, for the term 2024-26, 10 nomination papers were received against the available post of six office bearers of the Association for which the scrutiny was done on Friday. (June 21) and all the nomination papers were found in order as per the Constitution.
After withdrawal process completed today (June 22) at 02.00 pm, as per election notification, Election Commissioners Ajay Bansal, Yogesh Badyal and Yogesh Aggarwal declared Lalit Mahajan as elected unopposed as president of BBIA and Viraaj Malhotra, unopposed as general secretary of the Association.
The election for the other four posts of BBIA office bearers for the term 2024-26 shall be held on 29-06-2024.
Nitin Sood and Tarun Singla are contesting for the post of senior vice president, Ajay Langer and PL Raina are contesting for the post of vice president, Rajesh Jain and Shiv Kumar Sharma are contesting for the post of secretary, while Rishi Kant Gupta and Vivek Singhal for the post of treasurer.
It is pertinent to mention here that Lalit Mahajan has been re-elected for the fifth (5th) consecutive term as president while Viraaj Malhotra for 3rd straight term as BBIA office bearer.
