JAMMU, June 11: Sanjeev Lamba has been unanimously re-elected as the president of Citizen’s Cooperative Bank Staff Association (CCBSA), elections of which were held, here today.
The elections were conducted under the banner and control of the Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF), by the senior Comrade Arun Gupta (general secretary JPBEF) in the presence of Comrade Tickoo (vice president JPBEF)
On the occasion CCBL Staff Association also felicitated the Bank Administrator and Additional DC Jammu, Dr Arun K Manhas, former Chairman CCBL, Advocate BS Manhas, Director SR College of Competitions and former Director CCBL, Praveen Kumar Sharma, Managing Director CCBL, Ashok Goswami and president Chambers of Commerce and Industry Jammu, Rakesh Gupta.
Speaking to the gathering, Dr Arun Manhas, recalled the challenges on taking over the Bank as the CCBL Administrator and applauded the spirit and role of Bank’s staff who according to him, worked as a team under his directions and made this Bank a ‘profit earning Cooperative Bank’ in his period of four months.
He listed the achievements during his brief tenure as Administrator , which include NPA recovery, redressal of staff grievances such as uniformity in release of salary of the staff, introducing centralization of release of salary directly from Administrative office, releasing the designations of the staff promoted under time bound promotions, enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years, bringing the economical reforms by causing the shifting of Stationary Section and Administrative office into a single premises and introduction of Daily Deposit Scheme (DDS) for the benefits of small traders.
The Administrator also augured that steps have also been set in motion for the clients of CCBL to extend facilities to them at par with modern banking and informed that debit card facility to the clients of CCBL shall also fructify soon.
President CCI, Rakesh Gupta, in his address, appreciated the unabated steps and reformative role of Dr Arun Manhas in restoring confidence of people of Jammu in the Bank and assured best possible support from the business community.
