‘Land acquisition process initiated for Bhatinda-Jammu-Srinagar gas pipeline

JAMMU:
Government today proposed to lay gas pipeline under the Central project of Bhatinda-Jammu-Srinagar gas pipeline.
Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali said while replying to a question by Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra in the Legislative Council here said that proceedings for acquiring users’ rights have been initiated by Assistant Commissioner Revenue of Kathua and Samba districts.
The Minister added the process for land acquisition and required NOCs for the project will be hastened in due course of time.
The Minister said the project is being implemented by GSPL India Gasnet Limited of Gujarat which is a consortium of oil companies and all expenses on laying of gas pipeline will be borne by them. (AGENCIES)
