JAMMU, Jan 23: Corporator Satpal Karlupia started construction of a lane and drain at Bhaderwai Colony of Ward 32, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Satpaul Karlupia said that the area was ignored for many years in the sphere of development and it is a long pending demand of the locals as the drains in the area were in dilapidated condition and the residents were facing lot of problems while walking through these lanes.
Karlupia said that the Government has given priority to neglected areas for its development, so that the last man in the last queue gets benefitted.
He asked the people of Jammu to cooperate with JMC to make the city clean and green. Corporator also listened to the demands of the people of the area and assured them that all the demands would be resolved as soon as possible and the said Ward become a model ward of the Jammu city.
Lovekesh Gondi (JKUT BJP executive member IT department), Rahul Mehra, Satish Salaria, Bawa Ram, Rajesh Saini, Dr Manmohan, Retd Tehsildar SK Dutta and others were also present during the event.
