JAMMU, Jan 1: The Lane No 3, 4, 5 in Suriya Vanshi Nagar Muthi has plunged into complete darkness since Sunday with authorities taking no steps to restore the power supply in the area.
According to S K Handoo a social activist the power supply in the locality is off since Sunday evening and after restoring the light for five minutes this evening it again went off.
He said despite approaching the concerned officers of the department no steps were taken to solve the problem as the area continues to plunge into darkness, which has added to the problems of the consumers.
In an appeal to PDD authorities he urged them to take immediate steps in solving the problem as the student community whose exams are drawing near as well as old and infirm are worst sufferers of the power failure.
