RS PURA, May 29: BDC Chairman R.S Pura, Tarsem Lal Sharma along with Sarpanch of Panchayat Gandli, S. Gurdeep Singh Saini here today started work of a lane in Ward No. 2 of village Gandli.
Speaking on the occasion, the BDC Chairman said due to efforts of Gurdeep Singh Saini developmental works are being done at a rapid pace in the Panchayat.
He said that during his tenure, Sarpanch Saini has done a lot of developmental works in the Panchayat.
“Funds will also be given from BDC for the development of Panchayat and people will be given all kinds of basic facilities,” Sharma maintained adding that locals should also keep an eye on development works so that same shall be completed in a better way without compromising the quality.
Sarpanch Gurdeep Singh Saini said that condition of the lane was very bad since long due to which people had to face a lot of problems.
“During elections I had promised to repair the lane on winning Panchayati elections and today I am fulfilling the same promise and the work started today shall be completed within days,” he said.
Saini said that this village has also been kept under Adarsh Panchayat scheme and it is expected that soon the Central Government will sanction funds for this, after which people will get all kinds of basic amenities. Naib Sarpanch Pyarelal, Panch Pawan Singh, Panch Satya Devi, former Chairman Amar Singh Charak, Darshan Lal and Harjinder Singh were present on the occasion.
