Langeh demands immediate relief for landslide, rain hit people

JAMMU, Apr 6: MLA Ramban Neelam Langeh has demanded immediate relief for the rain and landslide victims of his Constituency.
In a statement issued here today Mr Langeh said Ramban suffered a heavy loss due to heavy rains and landslides. He said area faces scarcity of ration, water and many villages have plunged into darkness as the electric poles have been uprooted, wires snapped and transformers damaged.
He said the villages of Dessa, Kashtigarh, Raygarh, Dharamkund and Ramban areas of his constituency are worst hit.
He said in Dharamkund over 42 families have migrated to safer places as their houses are in danger and some have been damaged due to landslide.
Mr Langeh also took the issue with Divisional Commissioner Jammu telephonically and demanded 100 tents for these people.
He said while over 150 houses in Ramban, 100 houses in Kashtigarh and over 100 houses in Dessa area are damaged.
He assured all help and support to the affected people at this hour of tragedy and said that he will leave no stone unturned in seeking every sort of help and assistance for them. He asked the people not to lose courage as entire government and nation is with them.
